This page is where the site’s claims get audited. Every source line on the site points at a page like this one. It lists what the document is, every claim we publish because of it, and every time we have changed our mind. If a claim is not on this list, this document is not our evidence for it.

What this document is
What we fetched, when, and from where. The identifier is an opaque key: it is stable, it is what other pages cite, and it is not something to read meaning into. When a mirrored copy exists its content hash will appear here; until then the row says so rather than disappearing.

Nobody edits this page by hand, including us. If the document does not say what a claim below says it does, or the original has moved, tell us here. A challenge is answered as an annotation in 03 — upheld or declined, with the reason — and the annotation is the only thing that ever changes on this page. Nothing is deleted.

What this site claims because of it
Every edge whose source is this document. All 98 are on this page; nothing is folded, sampled or held back. Component 08 on an entity page groups edges around a person or a bill; this ledger is its inverse, anchored on the document, and it keeps the same three tiers in the same fixed order — filed, composite, adjacency — alphabetical within, as the server delivers them. It is not re-sorted here and cannot be.
Filed — the document states it · 98
98 × VOTED · qualifier value ∈ {Yea, Nay, Excused, Absent} · motion “Final Passage notwithstanding Governor's Veto” · as of 2016-03-29
A roll call is a table before it is a list. Grouping the VOTED edges by their qualifier value is a presentation of the same rows, not a different set: each name below is one edge, and the two views agree to the row. The grouped view is the default because it is what a reader came to check; the flat view is there because an auditor needs to see that the grouping hides nothing.

alphabetical by surname within each value · 45 of 98 members carry a party on our record; the rest are named as the journal names them
A roll call on a contentious bill and a roll call on a unanimous procedural motion render with identical weight. There is no highlight for a close vote, no colour for a side, and the members on the smaller side are not singled out beyond being counted.

What has changed
The site’s error-correction history for this document, in public. An annotation is the one thing a human writes into this page. Withdrawing a claim is never a deletion: the edge leaves the ledger above and a dated line appears here saying it did, and why. Corrections we declined appear too.
No corrections have been filed against this document. Every claim in 02 has stood since 2026-08-12 without challenge, withdrawal or amendment. That is a statement about our record of this document, not a certificate of its accuracy; the way to change it is the challenge form in 01.

What this page will not do
A source is a document, not a witness we grade. This section is on every source page, unchanged. It is not about this document.
- No reliability rating.
- No stars, no confidence score, no “primary” badge. The tier belongs to the claim, not the document: the same canvass yields composite edges because of how we join it, not because the state is unreliable.
- No ordering by importance.
- Edges arrive from the server in tier order, alphabetical within. There is no “notable votes” block and the page has no sort control at all.
- No inference from the record.
- A 96–2 vote is not “bipartisan” here; two Nays are not “dissenters”; a shared address is not a relationship. The document says what it says and the qualifier field holds exactly that.
- No silent truncation.
- The edge count in the first sentence, the stat block and the source line must agree with the rows on the page. A roll call with 147 edges shows 147 names.
- No page disappears.
- A document whose last claim has been withdrawn keeps its page, with an empty ledger that says so and the annotation that emptied it. The withdrawal is the content.

Where this page comes from
The document itself is a public record of the State of Washington. Our edge list and annotations are republished under CC BY 4.0.
- 01 One node, one page.
- Every row of wi_source has a page at /sources/{id}/. The id is opaque and never parsed for meaning; when a mirrored copy exists its content hash will take over as the identifier and the old key will redirect.
- 02 The ledger is the server’s.
GET /wi/v1/source/{id}/edgesreturns edges grouped filed → composite → adjacency, alphabetical by subject. The template renders that order and has no sort of its own; the plugin’s spec test 08 fails the build if the theme reaches for the database.- 03 Class-adaptive middle.
- The ledger’s shape follows the source class: a roll call groups VOTED by vote value and offers the flat list beside it; a registration lists a handful of rows; a canvass is a keyed table with the winners we could not match listed after it. Same section, same count, same tiers — the grouping is presentation, and the flat list is one click away wherever a grouping exists.
- 04 Staleness is in the record.
- A check stamp beyond the class threshold — 30 days for a canvass, 90 for a registration, none for a roll call once its session closes — renders as a sentence in the provenance block, not a banner.
- 05 Annotations are append-only.
- Under Mode B nothing on this page is editable except the annotation record. A challenge arrives by email from the form in 01; an editor answers it as upheld or declined, and both outcomes are displayed with the reason. A withdrawn edge keeps its fingerprint so a re-sync cannot resurrect it.
- 06 Names.
- Members and filers on this page are named because the document names them; that is the document’s act, not ours. Party appears only where the Legislature’s roster records it for the member, and the ledger says how many rows carry one.
