Where Washington Independents stands.

We are an independent political movement and we want more people on the ballot. That is a position, not a finding. Every record page on this site is built from the state’s own filings and would read the same if we held the opposite view; this page is the one place the site argues, and it is labelled so you never have to wonder which is which.

Our argument appears in exactly three places: here, in the block on the homepage and in the same block on the uncontested-races report. Nowhere else. No positions have been published yet; when they are, each will be dated and signed below.

When one is, it will appear here with the date it was adopted and the name of who signed it. Until then the sentence above is the whole of what this movement asks you to take on its word; everything else on the site is a record you can check.

WashingtonIndependents.org publishes Washington public records: who holds office, who funds campaigns, and what the record shows. Every figure is read from a primary source and carries the date it was read. Where a source is silent, we say so rather than filling the gap.
