Directory · political firms · PDC expenditure disclosures, 2021–2026

238 firms paid by Washington campaigns and committees, 2021–2026.

The firms in the independent-expenditures and coordination analysis — consultants, printers, media buyers — not every payee. Each profile is a merge: payee names as filed, normalised by us into one row, with the number of spellings printed beside every total. A shared vendor is lawful, and a profile here is a description of disclosed payments, nothing more.

01

Every firm with a profile

One row per merged payee. Alphabetical by the spelling most often filed. The spellings column says how many filed names were merged to make the row; a one is a name the filers agreed on, a five is a merge you should look at before citing the total.

Matches the firm’s name as most often filed. Nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.

What this directory will not compute

A list of firms with money beside each one reads as a league table. Each of these is a reading the filings do not support.

No market share.
These are the firms in one analysis, not the industry. A share of this list is a share of our selection.
No “network”.
Two committees paying one printer is two invoices. Drawing them as a web implies a relationship the filings do not record.
No finding of coordination.
A same-race overlap is a candidate and an independent-expenditure committee paying the same vendor in one race. That is lawful, and the count of them is a count of coincidences in public filings, not a verdict.
No company facts.
Every row is a merge of payee spellings on a string we normalised. The row is not a company; it is our best reading of what filers typed, and each profile prints how many spellings it rests on.
No connected-records section.
A merged profile is not a node in the entity graph. The graph’s vendor nodes are one per disclosed identity, which is the opposite decision; the two are kept apart so a merge of ours never becomes an edge.

How this directory is built

Every figure above is read from a primary source and rebuilt on a schedule. Nothing here is modelled or inferred; where a source is silent the page says so rather than filling the gap.

Population
Consulting- or strategy-named payees with three or more clients, payees named in a published report, and every payee in the same-race overlap layer. Not every payee in the expenditure file: postage, banks, platforms and the like are excluded by rule, and a firm outside the rule has no page.
Identity
payee name as filed, upper-cased, punctuation and corporate suffixes (LLC, Inc, Co…) stripped — a normalised string, not an identifier the PDC issues. The number of spellings merged is printed on every row and every profile.
Payments
PDC expenditure filings (tijg-9zyp), election years 2021–2026, summed per payee per paying committee. Amounts are as filed; a payment routed through a vendor to a subvendor appears under the reported payee.
Overlaps
the same-race overlap layer built from the expenditure and independent-expenditure filings (67cp-h962), as of 2026-09-01: a race in which one firm was paid by a candidate and by a committee making independent expenditures in that race, with the gap in days and whether it falls inside the twelve-month window of WAC 390-05-210.
